Waterfront Cottages

“Sandstone”, “Sandtide”, “Sand Bar”, “Sandpiper”

There are four waterfront accommodations, each consisting of a living room, dining area, kitchen, three bedrooms, a full bathroom, and a wraparound sundeck with an attached stairway leading to the private beach.

Each living room and adjoining sundeck has a panoramic view of the ever-changing tide as well as majestic sunrises and sunsets over Cape Cod Bay. The living room is comfortably furnished with a queen-size sofa bed, wicker chairs and a writing desk. The dining area, which also overlooks the water, accommodates six to eight people and is adjacent to an open kitchen. One bedroom has a built-in queen-size bed and dresser. The other two bedrooms each have a set of built-in twin beds and dressers. The full bathroom has a bathtub with a shower and a vanity sink.

A crushed stone driveway and parking area is located to the rear of each cottage, which is surrounded by native planting such as beach grass, bayberry, beach plum, and beach rose bushes.

Three bedroom cottage off the water with partial waterview

“Resthaven”

“Resthaven” is a three bedroom, two-story cottage, which is located approximately 250 feet from the private beach. The cottage is a Victorian-styled building, which was once the East Brewster Railroad Station. Relocated to Ellis landing in the 1930s and converted into a summer cottage, “Resthaven” is surrounded by a white picket fence with a rose arbor and a white crushed shell driveway. The screened porch, which spans the length of the front of the cottage, faces Cape Cod Bay and affords a partial view of the water. It is a cozy spot to sit back and enjoy the salt air. Wrought iron furnishings, hanging plants, and a ceiling fan add to the old time ambiance.

Inside the cottage on the first floor, is a charming living room with a fireplace and dining area. Both are finished with the original beadboard paneling. A bedroom with a double twin brindle bed, a bathroom with a shower and a pullman styled kitchen complete the first floor layout. On the second floor are two more bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with a set of twin beds.

“Resthaven” has often been referred to as the “memory cottage” by a number of its guests because it evokes nostalgic reminiscences for times past.

Two bedroom cottage off the water with a partial waterview

“Rest Awhile”

“Rest Awhile” is a two bedroom Cape Cod styled pine paneled cottage. One bedroom has a double bed and the other bedroom has a set of twin beds. There is a bathroom with a shower and an eat-in kitchen, living room with built-in shelves and fireplace and a screened porch.

“Rest Awhile” cottage is located about a two minute walk to the private beach. There is a partial waterview of Cape Cod Bay from the living room and adjoining screened porch.

Window boxes adorn the side of the cottage which faces the road and is accessed by a circular, crushed white shell driveway. Picnic table and lawn chairs are situated on the lawn which faces the bayside of the cottage.
